Group (SAMG) is a physician led 600+ provider multispecialty group
with an excellent opportunity for a Hospitalist to join its growing
group in Boise, Idaho. Join 32 physicians and 12 APPs in managing a
high acuity medical service at a 381-bed regional medical
center.With a typical patient population of 40% adult and 60%
geriatric, hospitalists see patients with CHF, pneumonia, COPD,
pancreatitis, stroke, neurologic conditions, geriatric fractures as
well as other general medical conditions. Rounding typically
involves 14-18 patient encounters per day.Saint Alphonsus is the
region s principal provider of advanced, innovative and
interdisciplinary critical care services, so candidates must be
committed to a multi-disciplinary team approach. It is also the
region s only ACS verified Level II Trauma Center. Hospitalists are
the primary admitting service for the vast majority of primary care
providers in the Saint Alphonsus network.The ideal candidate will
have a strong internal medicine or family medicine background with
Hospitalist training and a desire to develop a practice in support
of a growing multi-specialty medical group.Hospitalists also take
part in teaching residents.
Support: 24/7 Anesthesia; 24/7 in-house Imaging/Radiology;
Intensivists; Level II Trauma Center; ED; Hospitalists enjoy the
support of a broad spectrum of subspecialists from SAMG and the
broader medical community.
Requirements:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO)
degree.
- Successful completion of an ACGME accredited Internal Medicine
residency program, family medicine residency with hospitalist
training will also be considered.
- Board certification through the American Board of Internal
Medicine (ABIM) or the American Osteopathic Board of Internal
Medicine (AOBIM) - or obtain such certification within 3 years of
employment.
- Obtain Idaho & Oregon medical licensure to practice medicine in
all its phases; valid controlled substance registration with Idaho
Boards of Pharmacy & DEA.
- Granting of privileges at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical
