Employment Type:Full timeShift:Day ShiftDescription:POSITION SUMMARY & HIGHLIGHTS:Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise is looking to hire a CNA/Unit Clerk for our Main Operating Room.Our Main Operating Room serves patients with a wide variety of care needs, from scheduled elective cases to emergent traumas. With 17 operating rooms, we are able to treat patients for needs including orthopedic, general, plastics, dental, neurology, urology, gynecology, and robotics. We have a sizeable team who enjoy working within a fast-paced, innovative environment, alongside colleagues who regularly seek out continuous learning opportunities and growth.Schedule: Must be available Monday-Saturday, varied days. Typically 7am-5:30pm.WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)/Unit Clerk will support clinical staff at the unit level by performing clerical, receptionist and patient service coordination.
• You will need to communicate effectively with team members regarding patient information, messages, and medical documentation.
• Maintain Electronic Medical Records and facilitate smooth operation of the unit.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Certified Nursing Assistant Certification issued by the State of Idaho.
  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire in all units, unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS as defined in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk.
  • Six months Certified Nursing Assistant experience in an acute care setting preferred.
  • Previous hospital or medical office experience preferred.
  • Requires basic Medical Terminology and Anatomy. Advanced classes in Medical Terminology and Anatomy preferred.
