Works on problems/projects of moderately complex scope. Utilizes professional concepts and theoretical knowledge acquired through specialized training, education or previous experience. Exercises independent judgment within defined parameters or practices to determine appropriate action. Develops expertise and practical knowledge of applications within business environment. Acts as an informed team member by providing information, analysis and recommendations in support of team efforts.-- Evaluates unique circumstances and makes recommendations. • Participates as a member of the data engineering team.
• Analyzes technical requirements of basic to high complexity depending on job level.
• Designs and develops solutions of basic to high complexity. Participates in code reviews.
• Leads and/or participates in design and outcome reviews.
• Prepares and executes manual and/or automated test plans and scripts. Applies technical knowledge of data engineering to perform maintenance and support of solutions. May perform solution design.
• Applies appropriate technologies to infrastructure and software solutions.
• Demonstrates capability to work effectively with business and technical resources.
• May develop innovative architectural solutions to complex problems. Typical Education
  • Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or universityRelevant Experience
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, Databricks, SQL, and Data Modeling is ideal but not required.
  • Experience delivering data solutions through agile software development methodologies is ideal but not required.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code such as Terraform is ideal but not required.
  • Knowledge and experience in data engineering.
  • Proficient in one or more programming languages such as Python or SQL.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, contributing to team design activities and documentation.
  • Can apply critical thinking skills to solving problems and a strong technical aptitude.
